The only thing constant in the world is change....and it seems as if my thesis is doing plenty of that these days. After meeting with the librarian a while ago, I stumbled upon a couple of resources that have been fueling my inquiry and changing my direction a little bit. I was hoping to put out a reading a little bit more focused on the sites that I have settled on, but the summit book I requested looks like it's not going to come in on time. Instead I have posted one of the books that has given me a little more focus and a theoretical framework to consider.
Nature and the City provides an interesting analysis of environmental policy making in Toronto and Los Angeles. The sections I have posted focus on the framework the authors utilize to analyze each case study further along in the book. I chose this piece because it has provided me with a little more vision on ways to understand and analyze community discourse surrounding environmental issues.
I'll save information about the sites for Wednesday.
